Can anyone recommend an advanced teaching pro or instructor in the Shelton area? Thanks.

Does anyone know if the Japanese versions of the Mizuno irons JPX E500 and JPX A25 are legal for use in the U.S.?

I am looking to start a league of players 4.0 and better to help hone my game for state and national events and, in turn, your game will also excel. Don't have any real game plan, but all interested can give input.

In November, I went to Golfers' Warehouse for a Swing Labs golf club fitting in an attempt to find a better driver. After a sufficient warm-up, I hit 10 balls into a net with a selected driver. The evaluation system recorded launch angle, ball spin rate, estimated yardage for carry and overall distance and off-line distance. The software then recommended three other drivers to test. I hit seven balls with each of those drivers. Then the program ranked the four drivers based on the resulting data. Also included were recommendations of golf balls and driver shaft upgrades. The cost of this club fitting was $40. Was it worth it? I don't know. I range-tested the top-two recommended drivers plus one other driver that was not recommended, along with my current 7-year old driver. By the way, Golfers' Warehouse did not charge any fees to demo test the three drivers for a few days. After hitting nearly 200 balls on the driving range, I was most consistent with my current driver and the one that was not recommended by the club fitting system. So I am keeping my old driver. I did learn that a Pro V1 ball gives me too much backspin with the driver, so I have switched to a lower spin ball. Should you go for a Swing Labs golf club fitting? I think that it depends on how consistent your swing is. For most of us, hitting seven balls with a driver is not enough to make an accurate evaluation. I like the idea of a dynamic club fitting, but I think that the process needs more refinement before it will be truly useful for those of us with any inconsistencies in our swing.
