Still a lot of snow cover in the southwestern area of the state, but its melting quickly. We'll probably lose it all by Sunday night, Monday afternoon at the latest. A couple of days to dry out and *maybe* Wednesday or Thursday we'll see places like Shenny, Fenwick and Wheeler opening.

Highly unlikely. Even Fenwick here in Old Saybrook, usually open when others are not, still has snow covering greens. I suspect, though, by end of week it may reopen.

Portland G.C. is open and in pretty good shape considering it is almost the end of January

Fairchild Wheeler Red course open so far every day and black on weekends in pretty good shape considering it's almost February and still playable. worth it.

Pomperaug GC in Southbury is open, and you play all the golf you want (walk only) for $20.

Lyman Orchards Player course has been open when no snow cover. I played there last Friday, but they were closed Sunday due to 1" snowfall overnight.

Fenwick GC in Old Saybrook is open today, Friday, Jan. 13. Mostly temporary tees and a little wet in places. But hey, it's golf in January!

E. Gaynor Brennan in Stamford is opening back up today with tees and greens. Carts are available, please keep them on the paths.

Blackledge in Hebron opened yesterday. Greens were a little wet but overall very good condition. Just heard Rolling Meadows in Ellington also opened today.
